About the laboratory

Evidence

The laboratory

We work with an accredited analytical laboratory in Australia. It performs the analysis and holds responsibility for its methods, quality controls, technical interpretation and approval of results.

Credentials

Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for the analytical methods used in our core test

  • NATA-accredited analytical laboratory, based in Australia
  • Quality system audited to ISO/IEC 17025 with documented method validation
  • Results reviewed and approved by qualified analytical chemists
  • LC-MS identity, HPLC purity and calibrated quantitative content performed in-house
  • Sample receipt, custody and retention recorded against one reference

Accreditation covers specific methods within the laboratory’s scope. Vial holds no accreditation and claims none.

The laboratory

The analysis

  • Confirms the sample is suitable and the method fits.
  • Records receipt and runs the agreed tests.
  • Reviews the results and the supporting data.
  • Approves the findings and any correction to them.

Vial

Everything around it

  • Takes your enquiry and agrees the scope and price.
  • Tells you what to send and handles the sample through to the lab.
  • Takes payment and delivers the report under the Vial name.
  • Registers the report so anyone you share it with can check it.

How we chose

What we asked before we started

Where the work is done
In Australia, in the laboratory’s own facility. Any subcontracting is identified and agreed in advance.
Accreditation and method suitability
Which of the methods we need sit inside the NATA / ISO/IEC 17025 scope, and what verification, development, reference-standard or interference work the rest would need.
Reporting
That technically approved results can be supplied to you under an agreed reporting arrangement, with the analytical findings exactly as the laboratory approved them.
Handling and turnaround
Shipping, storage, sample-acceptance and retention requirements, and a turnaround that is efficient without being promised beyond what the lab can keep.
Unexpected results and corrections
A documented process for repeat testing and amendments, so an unfavourable finding is reported the same way as a favourable one.

Whose work it is

The analytical findings are the laboratory’s, reviewed and approved by its qualified staff. The report you receive carries them under the Vial name, with our explanations kept separate from the findings. Changes to findings come from the laboratory.
